Yoga in Catford SE8

A bit about me

When I first went to a yoga class, I couldn't see what all the fuss was about. I tried out different classes, but nothing ever really clicked with me. I would go back to my day to day life none the wiser, but then every few months there was something that made me go and try another class out. It was not until I was really overworked, that I suddenly decided I didn’t care what anyone thought, I was going on a yoga retreat by myself, so clicked on Google, found a location, and an amazing teacher, and I’ve never looked back.

I have now been practicing yoga regularly for about fourteen years and teaching for three. I vary from getting on my mat every day for 6 hours, to 10 minutes, or sometimes not at all. I may not be the “Perfect Yogi” (who is?!) but yoga is something I incorporate into every day.

I'm a firm believer that believe that yoga is a practice which is often discovered on a mat, but certainly isn’t confined there. My practice allows me to be myself, taking the strength, escape and peace of mind I find on the mat out into the wider world. I personally have found it provides space and time to discover what really matters in life. Practicing yoga puts a big smile on my face both on and off the mat, and what is better than having something that never fails to do that?!

This is the aim of my classes too, it’s all about balance. A bit of a workout, space to breathe, and relax too. My classes are strong but steady, focused but fun. It’s an hour and a half of time you are giving yourself to let go, escape, and enjoy. My intention is not just for you to pick up tips that you can take home and practice on your own mat, but also when stuck on a tunnel in the tube, or preparing for that big meeting, or on holiday with your mat shoved into the bottom of your suitcase just in case...

Come along and join us on the mat, you might just find something you love too.
